The Rural Cass Snowmoible Club is putting on SnowJam this weekend at Johnson's Barn near Arthur ND. Hope to see a lot of people there and it should be a lot of fun.

Is there still enough snow to ride?

There should be, I will find out later tomorrow if they are going to be grooming again. The blowing snow is helping. I hope they can groom again before Sat. and it sounds like only part of the trail will be groomed. Stay tuned, I will try and get more info by Friday noon.

The wind is supposed to die down tonight and stay down through the weekend. Hopefully they can get out and groom. The sections of trail I have seen (south of Fargo) would be nearly unrideable if they weren't groomed, due to the drifting. A lot of the areas that had marginal snow before should have plenty of snow now. The trail reports on www.snowmobilend.org were very vague. Hopefully, they can post an update when they know if grooming will happen.

I have not heard that it isn't happening, I will update when I get home from setting up tonight. I hope that it happens, but it's going to be cold. There is a swap meet now too after I looked at the website last night. I hope there is a big turnout but with the cold, who know's.

I'm headed out to help set up, I will post an update when I get home. They wanted to train me on running the groomer today so I'm not sure what's going on. I have heard some rumors but I don't want to spread any. Check back late tonight as I am going to the bon fire at the warming house at 7:30. Hope to see a lot of people out tomorrow. Cold with not much wind is bearable.

The trail got groomed today, should be great riding tomorrow. The snow held really well except for just a few short spots. It should be a blast and I hope to see lots of people out riding tomorrow.

Thanks for getting back on and giving an update.
So, if a person wanted to make the Harwood, Argusville, Arthur, Casselton, Mapleton, Harwood loop, they would have groomed trail the whole way?

Correct, and it sounds like they groomed from Mapelton to Davenport. I am not sure if they groomed over to Lenord or not? I don't think so as they can't groom up to Casselton from there. They are hoping to get premission to groom to Lenord but not sure if that happened. The trail should be in great shape, I was in the groomer for part of the day yesterday. For the most part it's in great shape, the open area's are a bit thin but the base held during the hot spell we had. It should be a great day on the trails.

Not sure how many people were there total, but when I left there were 90+ entered. I had some family come into town last min and came home to see them. I rode from Johnson's Barn to Amenia and the trail was in suprisingly good shape.
I hope everyone had a great day. I sure did, even though it was cold.
