Looking to come out west with the sleds for the first time. really dont want to drive all the way out to Colorado and big mountains wont work with kids and short tracks. i have been the the Black Hills as a kids and would love to come and ride there. looks like some great trail riding and some nice off trail when the snow is set up.

So heres some questions, do you typically have snow in march and where is a good place to stay with the family that has a nice pool and hot tub? would be great if we could ride from the hotel.

Any info would be great.

IMHO, the hills are one of the best areas to ride. Perfect match of trails, meadows, and hills. When conditions allow, they groom everynight. Stay in Deadwood. Nighttime activities, the trolly, and casinos.

We have rented a cabin near Terry Paek, it's a ski resort, but they give a good snow report and they have weather cameras.

There are about 4 hotels along the trail in Deadwood. I beleive the trail map on the state page gives their names.

I am sure others will post up more information, just something to get you started.
