Looks like were going to be back in business soon folks,.a storm for monday should drop 6-10 in N Vt and more down south where they need it more, another storm (noreaster again) looks likely for thursday night,..and possibly more to follow, but the temps will be nosediving soon after the first storm, GFS Low temp map for 384 hours shows Minus 25F possible in that stretch...Click to view attachment Canadian Means also calling for below normal temps. I think we will be in pretty good shape by next weekend, and it should keep getting better well into Feb, as no indications of a warm pattern OR rain in the forecastable future! Just a guess now, but I think Thursdays storm will be a bigger deal for Northern New England than this first one. I cant wait! I really thought I was going to have to wait 2 weeks to go riding again, and now I will be loading my sled on the trailer to go riding right after work tomorrow. Living in CT, I'm lucky to have legal riding just up the road. I just hope that this really helps VT.

My thoughts were that if the temps would stay below freezing for a week and then snow in VT, we would get a nice solid base for more snow. If it snows enough for lots of people to go riding, I'm sure with the wet base, there will be lots of snirt and enough bumps to make my kidneys start crying. Either way, winter is back, hopefully for the rest of the season.
