Heyy everybody, i need some help with my digital camera, I have a kodak v550, its like 3 years old, and a couple weeks ago I was out on my quad and i was using the self timer on my camera to take videos and pics and it started raining so the camera got kinda wet so i went inside and dried it off and it was fine. Yesterday I accidentally dropped it and i go to turn it on today and the lens doesnt come out, i dont know if its because I mightve gotten water in it or its because I dropped it.... I was wondering if anyone could help me fix this because I dont have the $135 repair fee to send it to kodak censored.gif Thanks in advance for any help

Does the power come on and just the lens doesn't work or does nothing happen when you try to turn it on?

Don't get it repaired, just get a new cheapie until you can afford a nicer one. As a backup, I got a $99 Samsung at Walmart with a fixed lens which is nice since there's no moving parts. BTW my old Canon died the same death as your Kodak.

good luck

Yeah, the power comes on i turn it on, but the lens just stays in, but like after a couple seconds it turns back off again.

And yeahh, thats a good idea, thats what i was thinking, i love my camera though lol. But thats def one of my options, unless i can get it fixed for cheaper than buying a new one. I like the idea of a fixed lense camera, ill have to look into that if i decide to get a new one..... thank youu!
