have fun dude, going into 10K myself. Definetly stay safe, avy danger is highest its been in a long time, and the slabs that are breaking are apparently really deep being as the week layer is from the beginning of Dec, and we all know how much snow is packed on top of that, don't need any more incidents.

Meeting up with a few guys should be good as long as the weather brakes. Running 10 k right now is too risky for me, seen a few avys last spring up at 10k when the snow was good, and right now the snow is far from good. You guys are taken a big risk running back there, if i where you i would not but if you guys still are, run every hill as if its going to slide have you buddys set up in safe spots ready to pull you out if it does go. And before your pulls look to see where the slide will take you down hill make sure its not full of trees, cliff or rocks. ride safe guys.

yeah I should have been more specific and said the 10K area, actually quite a bit further back, definetly too risky to go up to the top right now, but there is alot of area around 10K and behind that is nice flat meadows and small rolling hills if you know where your going, its tricky to find, we stuck to that and stayed away from anything that had a chance of causing a slide, even the road in we chose to go the long way around because the lower road to get there has avy danger. It was eery though, we were all sitting there having lunch and the snow dropped about an inch underneath us, sure sign the avy danger is way high, lots of powder and lots of fun though, had some blue sky poking through too at a few points.
