1986 Yamaha YZ 490, upper end was rebuilt the winter of '06 with Wiseco piston. Displacement was increased to ~540cc, compression was also increased (runs on 91 Octane)... At the same time the exhaust was replaced with a FMF Gold Series Fatty Pipe ($210). Since then it has only had 2 tanks of fuel run through it. This bike is MEAN, roll on the throttle in second gear and it will EASILY pull the front tire 18" off the ground with my 210 pound fat @$$ on board... Front tire is great, rear tire is fair. It does have some minor holes in the RH plastic from the exhaust, it has a few tears in the seat, and it needs an o ring for the fuel shutoff (slight leak). Runs great, only real downside is due to the displacement/compression ratio and absence of a electric start, it is a PITA to start when it is cold... No title because MN does not require one... I also have the owners manual and the performance manual that go with it...
