My 399 pounder is holding up excellently !! I'm impressed,I've been really pounding on it lately, and I've got about 800mi. on it. I only have ONE squeek and no rattles. (squeek is coming from front susp.a little squirt of lube and it should be fine)
Tell you buddy to stop smashing into things and he'll be fine.
I had over 6000mi. on my 04 800,it held up VERY well also, even after I packed it into a tree, head on,at about 25 mph (w/only 700mi. on it).......broke my bumper, hood and dented my pipe. You just gotta keep your A-arms away from the trees, and you'll be fine......most of the time....

Based on what I've read, the XP is much easier to fix when you smash in the front end. The collapsible front end S and E modules are keeping the tunnel from being bent, unlike the nun configuration on the REV. The 12 replaceable parts on the XP's front end is saving time and money on rebuilds, compared to numerous parts on the REV.
Accidents happen, at least the engineers put some impact consideration into the new design. Way to go BRP engineers!
I'm still waiting to hear about all these bent rails, bent running boards, and sleds folded in half...

925 on my xp 800rx and not one structural issue. Mine has also been 20+/-' in the air on our snow x track lap after lap with nothing but a small squeek that goes away with lithium grease. Going to Quebec again Friday for another 500-600 miles. If Doo chokes up for the belt that blew at 500 miles I will be 100% happy.

Not a single concern at this time.
Was at the dealers the other day, they had one tore down pretty good, apparently dude rolled it on Golden Lake trying to do 100mph. Only thing that broke was the steering rod!! I'm impressed!!!

I hit a tree stump, replaced the belly pan and it was cheap and easy. Did bend the aluminum a little, came right out. The pto side makes a sound kinda like a card in the spokes would. Tell me it's just the clutches, I dunno. So far pretty pleased, for the warm weather it's at the dealer for new hand warmers and had them go through the machine.

holding up real good. while i was doing a little powder riding off the side of a trail after i completly missed a turn I found a tree at about 30mph, luckly it was dead but it was sill about 15in in diamater. I thought it was done for but after i pullled if back on the trail it was almost in perfect shape. The upper and lower control arms on the right side took 100% of the impact and only were slightly bent in the center. even being bent the sled still rode perfect, the steering and alignmnet were not off at all and I put on another 300mi after the crash with no problem. The other XP i ride with fliped his around a corner, the sled rolled twuice and only bent the handlebars and craked the right side pannel, the sled was still able to be rode the rest of the weekend. over all it appears that this sled is built dam strong

Don't see my new 500 holding up that well if I continue to let the girlfriend drive it... For some reason she thinks she should blaze a new trail through the powder snow everytime she gets on it! She used to ride only on the trail but this new design has made her invincible in her mind..... Hope the swamp stumps don't find her!

I rolled mine over the other night and all I did (that I see so far) is bent the bars down a little. I pulled them back up and away I went. If I did this on my 05 rev I would be buying a new windshield and brackets and new insturment cluster for sure!!! What i like about the XP is that when you see a problems in front of you you can hammer the throttle and get that front end up so much eisier then I could on any other sled. By the way I didnt fair as well as the sled I suffered a level 2 shoulder seperation in that rollover!!!

I did this by trying to cross waterholes in the trail and that is my own fault I should have went around!! I will beef up this area and I also ordered the full carbon skidplate as well. Oh went to doc today no seperation just Stretched and should be fine in a week with rest and exercise!!!

my left handle bar caught a tree and the bar is now bent upwards a bit. I was surprised that the bar actually bent because I didn't catch it too hard...Anyway, I haven't tried to push it back in place yet. Wasn't sure if that would weaken the bar when doing so.....

Looks good so far for chassis strength with low miles however, I'm interested in seeing how they hold up when the miles start adding up; 4000 plus miles of pounding will tell. No doubt in my mind they will be good in the short haul but, lets see down the road. The above post of a broken footwell with 2000 plus miles I hope is not a sign of things to come.

I went off the side of road while going around a corner. Aimed for the smallest tree I could find, hit it pretty hard, dead center in front, then went up onto a big pile of brush. Only damage done was to the front bumper. No other damage, and rode another 70 miles that day. Checked alignment, still good, defrosted sled and checked for any other damage, none found. I know if I would have done the same thing on any other sled, I probably would have more damage.
Thank god I didn't hit that tree very far off center. The bumper was just strong enough to deflect the tree downward and not bend the frame or anything else.

One of my son's friends broke his front suspension support yesterday. All 5 of the attachments point at the rear of the support were broken and the support was just hanging loose where it is attached to the rear of the bulkhead. This appears to be the part that replaced the flying nun.

Stuff breaks sometimes.............this part did exactly what it was designed to do,they will only have to replace the bracket (or "module" as they call it) instead of an extensive (and costly) repair.
What I'd like to know is,what kind of abuse they were putting this poor sled through. These things are pretty darn tough, and if you break a part as such, must have been doing something pretty dumb. (like hitting a tree (Boulder, parked car, another sled,a building etc.),or nose diving it off a HUGE jump,or something........cuz they dond just break for no reason......

125 miles of rough trails is hardly a long-term test. Be careful about saying it will "never" break. Pound on somethign long enough and eventually it'll bust.
Glad to hear there XP's are holding up so far though. I think the new chassis is a HUGE leap forward from the old Rev.

BRP is recommending a different belt(377) in a service bulletin for Summits. It's a little wider, 1.5" vs the 1.375" belt that came stock. We can also use it in the short track sleds too. There seems to be an issue with the clutch alignment on some of the sleds but the service manual hasn't been available to explain how to check/correct the alignment. Rumor is the service manuals are being shipped this week! Now we just need an alignment tool to help check the clutches.

The rental XP 800R Summit I was renting had over 3k miles on it, and looked to be in GREAT shape still, just a small crack in the side panel. Some of the trails we had to go down had over 2 foot moguls, so I can imagine alot of those 3k miles were rough.
