You could probably park at the hotel in Ile des Chenes, just be considerate and go in for breakfast or lunch. I'm sure if you spend a few bucks there they wouldn't mind leaving your rig in the lot for a few hours. I have seen other guys do it.

If you are really concerned about peeing them off, just give them a call and ask if it is OK.

If you're up for a longer ride you could drop off at Deacon's Corner but I don't know how the floodway is this year around there.

Asked similar question just before New year. See Staging Areas
I ended up parking in the lot behind the restaurant at Deacons to head east on #1. The lot is small but well lit. Seems like a safe place to to leave the rig for a while. I gased up at the pumps before unloading the trailer to "return the favour".

It's about 2 miles south on 206, it's signed.

From Deacons you travel in the ditch for a little bit, then the trail goes into the field beside the ditch... you will come up to a little cluster of houses and that is where the trail is - turn Right, but you probably knew that already. Can't remember the name of the road - sorry. The Snoman map is WAY OFF, you come out onto 59 on the north side of the Seine River - probably about half way between the Seine River and The Floodway - basically right by the new development of houses at Grande Point.

Cross over 59 and get into the West side of the ditch because the 59 trail is a one way (even though a bunch of bozos travel the wrong way) and start heading south. It was aweseome last weekend... can the boys from IDC comment on whether the groomer will be out before the weekend?

Hope this helps.

Never travelled yet, but here is the assumed route (in yellow) from Snoman map. Previous poster has detailed directions.

As I said, don't go by the Snowman map - it is out by a few miles! The trail from 59 to 206 is NORTH of the Seine River, this shows south. I have been on it like 20 times this year at least.

You could also go East for a bit on the #1, down through Lorette, then pop out on the (groomed) Seine diversion, and go west where you will end up on the south side of IDC on the #59.... correct? I've been up and down the Seine diversion this year, but haven't gone north to Lorette yet...

Actually the trail doesn't go "through" Lorette, it follows 206, or at least that is where it was last year. So, yes you could take #1 east to 206, take the 206 trail straight south almost all the way to Landmark when you will run into the Seine River Diversion, then hang a right (or West) on the Diversion trail (yes, it is awesome this year, been on it alot also) and follow it all the way to 59. If you go this way though, remember to cross over the OLD 59 then the North bound 59 to get to the South bound 59 trail. Lots of guys have got a little confused since they twinned 59 at this area, because they put 2 complete new lanes in. This is a longer route, if you're looking to put miles on.

I have only been on the trail from 207 south along 206 to the Diversion once this year, and it sucked. I would go the first way I explained.

FYI - I can't edit my earlier post, it's 207 from Deacon's to the trail to 59 - sorry, I got sausages for fingers and hit the wrong number.

Easiest way to get to 59 from Deacons is like sgbcan said park at deacons cross the #1
hwy at the lights and go south in the ditch it is all marked and groomed you go about 3 miles and take the trail marker west, trail goes right to 59 the Voyageur trails are some of the best this year, they are doing a great job.
