A group of 8 of us would like to come out and looking for some info please. In March and would like to be towards the east if this is a good location. Need a starting point to start looking. Thanks so much for any and all help.

Are you talking about praire dogs?? If you are then you need to go to western South Dakota. Where the men are men and the sheep are scared> Im from eastern SD and we have no praire dogs. I have a budy that goes out there pretty regularly and he always goes to Faith SD.

I was hoping not to have to drive all that way. Any more ideas? And Yes praire dog. And thanks for the reply.

Well you're gonna have to go alot more west than I am to get some good praie dog land. At the least you would have to go west river. Im not too sure if March would be the best time to come. I think late spring to summer is a better time.

One of my friend's told me that a guy he used to work for near Plankinton, SD has a lot of prarie dogs up by his place. It is East River, SD, not by much though, only an hour from the river. Honestly, you'd be better off driving the extra 3 hours to get to the best hunting I think.
