I have a mach z with little under 600 miles on it has not been driven in 4 years I cleaned carbs throughly. cleaned reeds and checked compression All the coils have good spark, compression is on all 3 cyclinder is 150lbs+ However the cyclinder opposite of the clutch had oil all on the reeds and the others were good, there was even a little oil built up in that carb connected to that cyclinder, I cleaned pulled plugs pulled on crank trying to blow crap out a few times used air and put it all back together, it starts on first pull... First start up with throttle cable adjusted to tight it was idle at 4100 rpms when you hit throttle good response, when you let off throttle and try to repeat its boggs you have to wait for it to catch back up to idle to hit throttle again plugs didnt blow though, Then I loosened throttle cable and now have rpms at 1800 idle well now it has good throttle response but it wont run on all 3 cyclinders it keeps fouling the plug with the cyclinder with all the oil build up, I have went through a box of plugs in that one cyclinder "opposite from clutch" I start it up and it runs good for a second then sometimes even before I hit on the throttle it pops the plug, always on the same cyclinder all the other ones are fine and looking good Running br9es NGK in it.Would it be worn rings bad oil injector ? possible something plugged up in that exhaust and that is why that carb is getting flooded with oil from that cyclinder? Please any help is well appreciated Thanks.

it could be a bad crank seal on that side or your oil pump is putting way to much oil in just m2c.gif i'am not a mechanic by no mean's but i have a few hour's working the bug's out of mine i run a 2002 machz and love it when it's running BANG on!!! so good luck to you on the trouble's i know what it's all about SUCK'S!!! mad.gif

I've never changed a crank before myself, my uncle is the master mechanic lol but do you think it could be the rave valve need cleaning ? probably best way to find out is take heads off and check where the oil is comming from i just dont understand when i had it adjust high throttle to idle at 4100 rpm it ran good well not great but atleast it didnt foul plugs every second. but then when i let off throttle i had to wait 10 sec to hit it again cuz it was so built up it was about to stall but once idle went back up to 4100 you could hit it again and same everytime I guess im just gonna have to open her up and check it out Any other thought would be very well appreciated before i start breaking stuff and stripping bolts lol

Get it figured out yet? For what its worth, the oil is injected in the case below the reeds on that motor.
