tomaatit.gif Yeap, headed out yesterday morning to enjoy the day riding, and pounded the fat right off my bottom.
Don't get me wrong, it was an adventure, but the only trails that were any good were the ones I started on in W. Burke, which in itself was good, and unexpected. Forget Lowell, there groomers broke, don't think it's been out this season. Glover, Jay Peak forget it, the whole ride was a workout. Think the next time I try that, will be a mid-week thing, because as the day wore on, the trails only became worse. Didn't like Memphamagog either, that was a little scary. Jet skied right across that. And hey, you two Bomb riders, the yamaha man is going to fire up the Firecat, next time there will be no passing. Hope to see you again.
So, now that I took a few asprin, and not feeling so pounded, I'm ready to go again. This time headed NE smoke.gif

imo.gif Why doesn't someone figure out how to put an air ride seat on a sled. Shocks and suspension can only do so much. Couple of little shocks, or springs built into the seat, now that would be sweet.

I am all for the anti-cellulite affect... grin.png I think that you would see a lot more women on the trails if you advertised that yelrotflmao.gif I find that standing up through the waves of bumps keeps the legs and ass fit ...Its all about positivity!

chillpill.gif After 180 miles, knees didn't want to work anymore. But I now have a tight bottom and smashed the fat right out, and other than the blisters on my hand from mogul jumping, I think my boobs are firmer. It was definitely a WORKOUT

I had ACL reconstruction in the summer from another sport injury. Been pedaling a stationary bike as soon as I could after surgury to begin the long process of building back my quads and to be ready for the season. I have to wear a brace when I ride, but was happy that my knee caused me little pain. My lower back, neck and quads are another story. You know it's bumpy when you can hear slight cracks of your neck upon landing off some of the monster moguls that hid in the shadows Saturday afternoon. Taking Advil like skittles. My son and I pulled over Friday when the trails were better to allow our throttle thumbs a moments rest and for feeling to return. Spoke to a gentleman at the intersection about surrounding trail conditions. I didn't notice until the end of our brief conversation that he was riding minus a leg. Can you imagine the inability to rise off the seat and let your legs absorb the bump vs your back? I tip my helmet to that man. That's "Hardcore".

team fast has the new air ride rear suspension. Must be like rising in a big rig!!
Cat&Doo
that new fast suspension is amazing!!!! demo-ed it in Old forge new york a month ago and it's awesome. sucks everything up and the adjustability is so nice. flick of a switch and it can be stiffer or softer. I would definitely look into it if you want a really smooth ride!

What sled was it on when you did the test ride?

Believe it or not, I rode Lowells trails on Saturday as well and I happened to run across the president of the local club. I asked, "Where the h*ll is the groomer?!" He said it was broke and that the two adjacent clubs had gone out the night before (Friday night). Man, those trails were POUNDED.

You didnt mention anything about Derby... did you ride through?

We rode down above the Chittenden Dam up past Middlebury. Up high the trails were reasonably well groomed and the snow held up well until mid afternoon on Sat. The riding was pretty decent with the exception of a few waterbars that surprised me @ 50 MPH (plus or minus). One of them hit me so good that I bit down on the inside of my mouth hard enough that I thought I lost my molars.....and then I almost choked on my own blood. Another water bar caught me off guard and I had to sacrifice either my left nut??? or my right one??? I was in too much pain I was willing to give them both up!!

rofl.png Isn't it funny how different areas have different results. Not that much of that will matter after these last few days, jet skiing will be the sport of choice. And yes, Burke was the trail I started out on, and was the best I had been on all day and night. Should have known that the weekend brings out the warriors, cooped up all week, and let loose on the weekend. But alot of what I was on, was from lack of grooming. Which after this rain and warm temps, maybe those trails will hold up. I was doing so good too, have 800 miles on this season, all without incident. They usually call me Cap't Crunch, I have taken my share of hits. I hit a hole last year in Westmore that popped me off my sled like popcorn, about 10 feet in the air and came down in front of the rider behind me, Thank you Gene for having such good control and not making SWISS CHEESE out of me. Soooo close, because he was studded, and doing about 70. Sled made it through without a problem, just came out of the hole and kept right on going down the trail, me, lets say I felt the injuries of that the other day. Thank god for SUPER GLUE, now lets all do the SNOW DANCE AGAIN. Everyone be safe. r_c.gif
