I HAVE A 1989 SKIDOO TUNDRA NEVER DROVE IT MUCH IN THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS. IT STARTS FINE AND RUNS FINE FOR 5- 10 MINS THEN WHEN U COME TO A STOP IT BOGS DOWN AND WONT EVEN TURN TRACK. AND SMOKES BAD WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I CLEANED THE CARB STILL DOING IT, TOOK AIR BOOT OFF AIR BOX AND MADE IT NOT BOG AS MUCH, I NOTICED WHEN U PUT UR HAND OVER BACK OF CARB AND REV IT UR HAND IS WET WITH GAS. AND ALSO NOTICED ITS WET AROUND EXHAUST SO THIS TELLS ME ITS FLOODING SO WHAT COULD CAUSE THIS. THE CIRCLIP IS 1 NOTCH ABOVE MIDDLE OF NEEDLE.

Pick up a new needle and seat.

thanks for the info; ill try that i forgot to mention that when u keep it running at high speed on stand it seems to work good and i checked the spark plug and its burning good just seems to be loading up and cant burn it at low speed or idiling.

You could have a mouse nest in the muffler :O
The pipe will flow sometimes when there is little load and then when you press it down, all the junk (matress stuffing, yarn, leaves, seeds, etc) plugs the exhaust exit.
Then the sled will load up, smoke and oil will leak out the exhaust flanges. Some machines will actually blow the pipe right off.

Heat soak. My son's Elan does this, removed engine cover and it runs perfect. make sure the fuel lines are routed in a cool area. Just a thought.

You may have a crank seal going down on you. They run great when the engine is cold but when they warm up it'll bog on you.

well still the same problem did everything to the carb , must be the motor did compression test last nite she dropped 10 psi over nite, does anyone know what this tells me bad seals , rings ???????? what.

I'm sticking with the crank seal theory. If it starts and runs well cold, then loads up and bogs, and eventually stalls when warmed up, check your seals.

i think the switch was acting up or the oil injection was pumping to much oil .
im going to run it for awhile and hook the ignition switch up and see if it was that or oil injection .

I have the identical problem with my 1989 tundra..how is it running now with the oil injection system and ignition switch disconnected?
Do you still have it disconnected? did you do the rings or anything else to it? Ken B

Your switch could be messing up. My 75' Sno-jet SST key switch was acting up but the sled would run for about 5 minutes and then quit cold. Was your sled bogging out or shutting off completely?
