Hey guys? any idea when the testing is gonna happen?
I'm dyin' to see the results as I have the same setup. thanks keep us posted.

Cliff do you have the straight line can to dyno with there pipe? would be kind of nice to see what a complete straight line exhaust would be as far as numbers on the dyno.
SLED-WERX Racing
The pipes are due into us this week, hopefully Tuesday. Cliff will be receiving a demo/promotional pipe through us here at Sled-Werx Racing to dyno and he'll post results in his ADVANCED DYNO forums on our site for everyone ( FREE - no subscription necessary ) We also have the ceramic silencers in stock, so if Cliff wants he can dyno that combo for you

Very Very mild here, we have ton of snow but it will be hard to keep with +7 temps and rain and further +12 temps and rain to come in the next 3 days. Cooling off end of this coming week

Dave has been trying to get testing in on the HURRICANE sled, but the weather is now causing issues

sounds good thank you.

Cliff,

If you would not lived so far I would have provided you a Bikeman pipe so that you can compare.
adrenalator8
Thanks for the offer, but like you say it's a long way to go.

I have dynoed the bikeman silencer and found no gains, the sled actually had a set of cudney domes and an a bikeman silencer and was down 5 hp from out 05 test mule of 175.8 hp.

again , keep in mind what does or doesn't show on the dyno may show different in-field results

case in point ... Last season it was said elsewhere the Bikeman Silencer did not show any gains on the dyno for the F1000. We tested it in the field on a heat soaked engine and it pulled consistent 2+mph improvements on STALKER RADAR.

MACHZER
Have you tested the pipe yet?
adrenalator8
Ok guys we just finished up another 500hp turbo yamaha and we can now get the mach on the pump for some testing of SLP pipe and mid alt mapping.

If all goes well I should have results for posting by the first of the week.

Ok guys I know you are all chomping at the bit to see what this thing has.

I didn't do any testing on the weekend because, WELL , I have to ride sometime LOL.

Anyways, all stock testing is done and I will be putting the pipe on as soon as I'm done typing this.

On a side note, I have been mapping engine temp aswell as fuel pressue and have found some itnteresting things.

All tests where done with a 59.12 psi fuel pressure.( this is stock for this sled)

the first is that ( and I have repeated this 3 times) these sleds make large torque when tested at 70-105 degrees F
On one pull in praticular, the test mule pulled 185.2hp at 7600 and 130.6 fpt at 7300 rpm, this was done at 73F and BSFC was 0.633.

I pulled it second time with out shutting it off from the first pull and netted 181.9hp at 7600 rpm and 127.2 fpt at 7300 rpm this pull was done at 107F,BSFC was 0.636

The next one was done at 152F and hp dropped to 178.6hp at 7700 and 122.3 fpt at 7600 rpm.BSFC was 0.642

you can see that the mapping changes timing at temps above the 107F range as the drop in hp and torque figuers show .

SPI PIPE TESTS:

Well the dust has settled and I have the results.

First off if there is anybody out there that has lake tested this pipe and says it doesen't work there most likely right! unless they reclutched for the lower operating RPM.

This pipe falls off the power at 7500rpm,but below that there are good gains

fuel pressure was 59.08psi

First run was done at 72F and Showed good gains above stock from 5000-7300rpm but above that it started to fall off and by 7700 was only making 95hp.at 6500rpm there was a gain of 7.7hp and 5.3fpt,at 7000rpm the gain was 6.3hp and 4.5 fpt, the peak hp was 182.6 hp at 7300rpm and 131.8 fpt at 7200rpm,BSFC was 0.603 but was around 0.590 at 6900rpm

Second run was done at 107F, the gains at 6000rpm where 6hp and 5 fpt,At 6500rpm they where 4.6 hp and 3.6 fpt,by 7000rpm the increase in power was 7hp and 5.1 fpt.
But by 7500rpm there was a loss of 2.9hp and 2 fpt, and by 7700rpm the power was down 43hp and 29fpt..peak hp was 178.4 hp at 7400rpm and 127.7fpt at 7300rpm
BSFC was 0.607 at peak hp and
stayed in the .600 for the whole run.

The third hot run was done at 140F, this would be alittle above half on your temp gauge and this is where the biggest gains showed.
at 6500rpm there was a gain of 11.4 hp and 9 fpt, by 7000rpm it still carried 10 more hp and 8 fpt but by 7600rpm it was starting to fall off to the tune of 3.5hp and 2 fpt, by 7700rpm the power was down 10 hp and 8fpt..BSFC was 0.613 at peak power .peack hp was 176 at 7500 and 126.9fpt at 7200rpm

This pipe does lean out the fuel in most cases it's right in the 1/3 to 1/2 a point lower then stock .

How this translates to performance on the lake depends on if you are a drag racer or a radar runner, for top speed runs I would prefer the stock pipe but for drag racing this pipe should help as it showes more torque below 7700rpm.
The place this pipe will really shine will be on the trail, where you would be running in the mid ranges more of the time.

Next tests will be mid alt mapping and the same mapping with the spi pipe and a boondocker as I'm sure by the results of these tests fuel will be required.

Has anyone tested a Dynoport Pipe and Silencer on a Mach?

Jason confirmed this pipe was designed for trail/drag. The dyno session showed that the power increase which was substantial would benifit for SPI's intended design

We're providing FREE SHIPPING on these pipes Canada Wide for a limited time.

Just a comment about the single Straightline Performance Pipe for the Mach 1000. I have been running this pipe for a few weeks now and this is my opinion. I am a trail rider and have noticed great gains in the bottom end / midrange with this pipe. I do not lake race for radar speeds, however I can tell you that the speedo moves a hell of a lot faster with the SPI pipe on than with just the stock pipe.(Same clutching set up as last year's, I just changed clicker positions to bring revs down to 7500-7700). For real world results, I am somewhere between 5-10 lengths quicker than I was last year in the midrange. (I raced the same sled I did last year with different results now, and the only change on either sled was my SPI single and a clicker adjustment.) Due to the fact we have so much snow in Northern Ontario, I can not tell if it is any faster on the top end, but I know it is quicker on the bottom / midrange for sure. It pulls a lot harder now, especially at 75MPH! I am running the can as well, sounds great and with the combo I save 14lbs! Works for me....
