I have to put a new track on my 02' XC-800 with M-10 suspension. I decided to go with the Camoplast Ice Ripper (model # 9993H). Before purchasing I called my Polaris dealer to see if this would fit, they said yes. I also called an additional Polaris dealer just for a second opinion. So after this I purchased one from Hudon's in NY state. I also question them also and they said yes it would fit.
Here's my issue, I have reverse on my sled and when I looked at my original track versus the Ice Ripper I noticed that the area around the windows on the track have large Knobs on them compareed to a flat area on the original track. I assume that the original is this way so that it does not hit the heat exchangers that run down the tunnel. My question is have any of you used this track on any of the Edge models with M-10 and reverse? It almost looks like I may have to trim the knobs off of this portion of the track or I'm afraid that when I put it in reverse that it may catch the heat exchangers. Any thoughts?

On the EDGE 02
You will notice that there are no studs in that area. I would let it wear naturally, but if you must you can cut that little ruibber off with a tool called the "Nipper." Avavaible at any hardware store. I personally dont see a problem with the rubber in the clip area. been running mine for 500+ miles now and mine doesnt hit. Just my 2 cents.

I run a 1.25 under mine with M-10 and reverse. No problems at all.
