i have an 05 fusion 900, just turned 1000 miles yesterday, about 40 miles before that service engine light would come on every timarted it and it would flash 5 times and it would go out. thanks for any help you guys can give me.

It's just a service reminder. Go read your manual to see how to reset it. I can't remember off the top of my head how to reset it. You can preset it to come on after X amount of miles as a service reminder.

I think when you go to the place where it has your max mph and rpm you should also get your service timer. Hold the green button down it think for 5 seconds until it starts to flash. Then press up and it will scroll through 50, 100, 150 etc. Then finally to off. Once you have what you want press down on the green button again. I don't have a manual either I am just going off memory which can fail me at times. I hope this can help you.

1 enter the service interval screen.2 press and hold the set button for ten sec.continuing to hold even after the display begins to flash. 3 when the display stops flashing, release the button. the service interval has been reset.
