twisted the top gear off my tcat's jackshaft. never had one out before...anything special i need to do or look out for?
or is it worth it at all....should i just drop it off at the dealer?? thanks for the info..

Wow, you really have to have hooked up to turn that axle off!!

It isn't that bad to change it. Get the air box out. Take out the bearings on both sides. Pull the axle out of the brake disc and lift the disc and its key out of there. Then slide the axle back through the chaincase housing until you get it free out of the pto side bearing holder and then pull it out. Put the new one back in reverse order..

Easy fix. Like I said in your other post. Many years of zr's and zrt's will work, they're all the same shaft. MIKE>>>

what am all going to need? the shaft and the two end bearings.....wanna make sure i have everything

Yeah, that should be all youll need, but the problem is that allot of times the bearing (I belive it is the one by the brake) gets seized on there and you have to take the shaft out the other side. No big deal either way. Hey do you ahve another jack shaft? I might have one for pretty cheap, I would have to look. PM me if you need one. Thanks
