The only time I broke a chain was on my 97 440 zr. I had broken chain links on my 700 zr but never broke the chain.

I use to break chains all the time. I started to use a 15 wide on 13 wide gears. The wider gears won't fit in the older chain case. This worked real well because I never broke another chain.
If you need a shaft I have a used one. Dan

I've blown chains. Good grip and high engagement did me in a few times. That jackshaft is an easy fix. At least you didn't blow the chain through the side of the case like I did once. MIKE>>>

welcome to the t-cat world of broken chains, snapped shafts, ripped mounts, torn tracks and loose rivots. big t's are to heavy to be jumping ditches. keeping the chain tension snug helps, but 15 wide gears not just a chain is the way to go. what were they, a/c thinking, 13 wide chains are for 340's.
