I looked at doing this when I was looking at the F-Cat,, thankfully 06 R was the way to go,, looked like a lot of work since there is no place for the jack shaft ... two 05 900's gps'ed here last year at 109-110 stock,,you should still have some left there.....R2R

The shift assist works well for the DD secondary.

what is its peak rpm? is it Carbed or EFI? was the dd serviced(oil change)? the 10.4 will make it faster in 1000feet but no difference on topend, are you running your track really tight? every little thing counts....the 900s and 700s where always close...

Must be the spot just before you get to the road comming from your way,, I tried mine there a couple weeks ago checking my tach,, was overturning by a couple hundred,, have to work on that... are you using the adjustable weights or just the reg ones...You need to throw that orange spring back in there,,your getting to fast, biggrin.gif ....R2R

My 03 runs over 100mph in 660 and over 120 on top easy. I have seen a stock 05 run 120 as it ran out of gear and turned 8000 with the stock track and trail picks. It then flipped the belt over. This is of course on perfect ice. Maybe a single pipe that lets the motor turn some wil help... RPM=MPH. I turn my D&D pipe 8000 on the tach. Its the monster single. My buddy crashed his 06 F7 last year and when he fixed it put a chain on it. It was a ton of work. It is faster and much cheaper and easier to fine tune with gear. Why do the snow cross racers not have DD??? I don't think its the DD as much as the team secondary, though I did read about the DD "hydro locking" at big speed. Maybe a good trail unit but not a great speed piece. In fact, when we run on the lake we use button clutches so it does not back shift as easy on top end. I guess if it was me I'd just buy a 900 with chain on it instead of changing it over. I did hear that the 06 has more power than the 03 so that would be interesting. I won't get rid of my 03 just because it had a chain. When and if the 1000 can beat up on me I'll get one. The 07 cannot without a ton of money on mods but I hear the 08 is better. We'll see, I have not run into any on the ice yet and everyone that has one already has y-pipes and mods.

Looks expensive but I'm sure way cheaper than converting the whole sled.... Funny how an aftermarket upgrade gets rid of the new cat set up and makes it old school. Nice piece.

Well here's my 2-cents,...I've got an '05 ZR900,.10.4" upgrade, 160studs, rider weight of about 160lbs, stock primary, hit 107mph on a GPS, on lightly loamy roadway.

you can set shit up forever, and your speed will change every time

you need a Controlled enviroment to be dead Nuts......but thats impossible
