im debating on whether i should purchase an engine dyno or not....jus wondering how many of u sledders would use this service if it were available at a low cost.....im hoping to get one in the new year.. our shop already has a track dyno bu its not being used that much....

i would there is a guy around here that has one but wants an arm and a leg to use it and we all know it takes time to dyno and set up a sled proparly i think he wants like a 100/hr

wow 100 an hour...better see some real improvements not jus on paper...lol...im 45 minutes north of prince albert....looking at gettin a dyno setup by end of january...simple rate of $250.00 for 3 pulls...thats the same we charge for the track dyno....

never been to a dyno so I have to ask, roughly how long would 3 pulls take then???

well......1st pull would be to establish a starting line or base line to what your engine is pumping out for horsepower..then if you have any add ons or adjustment you would reccomend or try out such as pipes, timing key, jetting, for some sleds the boondocker box or even further another set of cylinders that are ported for trail.....then the next pull would happen to see if theres some gain...then continue on from there.....jetting would prolly be the most time consuming...a couple years ago i went all the way to alberta to get my engine dynoed and i paid the same price but thats it...one run and i was heding back home.....no chance to try to improve or even if the jetting was correct...i couldve been jetted rich and not have full hp showing...3 pulls gives the chance to try to at least improve or look for more horsepower...time would depend on the what each person wants..if they brought parts or not

Did you get a dyno. I would bring my sled down. I put an aftermarket pipe on it and I'd like to see a run with the Stock Pipe and Aftermarket one. I live by Shell Lake.

I think a dyno is a good idea and as long as it would stay afforable I would certainly use it.

yuppers lots of guys would go for it up my way!! if u spread the news. lots of people up north would use it too. wollaston . black lake. when u gettin it!! need to see what muh sled has too. first gettin the conversion kit for this diamond drive. can't figure it out yet so see what happens, waitin on some sheaves muh secondary was screwwed up!! that was why i never had top end in porcupine plain. brokin secondary! well i hope i can get this machine dailed in before the festivals start around the north!! give me a call if u get the dyno! 758 2257
