Hi i purchased a 08 Xp 800R about 2 weeks ago and was wandering if anyone knows how the break in works. I have heard from people that the computer richens the fuel and oil as well as retard the timing for the first well i have heard one person say 10hrs of riding and another say 20hrs of riding then the computer fine tunes the engine after that. As well where does the engine make the most hp at what RPM in magazines they say 151hp at 8100rpm??? but i ???.. What mods work well on this sled i don't want to go out and buy mods that will make it slower i want something that works. I heard to stay away from Cans they are bad you lose hp and what what clutch kit to get for more mid range and top end. Has anyone tried the Cylinder Head or Y-Pipe and do you have to fine tune the xp after doing these mods and will they hurt my motor. I was thinking of going boyseen reeds as well i heard studding this machine is a must because your not gettting the true power out of this sled until you do but i guess thats with any other sled as well.. How does it stand up against the competition... Any help would be gladly appreciated thanks folks...
