Argh.. Where were you the 18th or 20th ? LOL

Im out of Vacation time now, so Ill have to wait till Januarry.

I did the Belmont store run Thursday, and it was fun. With smooth trails, and a early start, I would love to try all the way to Killington- Rutland and back!

Just for you all to know. I did the Belmont run on the 21st, and they do have gas. I believe it was around $3.50.

we got a lot of rain!

the only place i saw snow yesterday is where no one had been on a sled yet.

everthing else was ice and or with rocks showing, we spent a bunch of time yesterday stopping to pack snow on to our skid's to keep the hyfax from melting.

hopefully they'll go out with the groomers and pull whats left of the snow from the side of the trail.

if they dont i'll be waiting for new snow.

I was worried about that! They were complaining the trails were beat on Thursday.

somerset area 1900-2400' no snow just ice and frozen dirt.

north of somerset is the same or lower elevation

south is lower

it's going to be the same everywhere in southern vt.

the only place your going to find crusty ice with snow under it is where no one else has been.

unless they drag all the snow in from the side of the trail.

which is what they should be dooing.

Well! let me tell u that im glad that i listened to nobody and had 2 find out 4 myself. We put on about 140 miles up 2 belmont and back 2 the woodford mall and that was a whole lot of dicken around. I would have pics but forgot it in my truck. Some guys came up 2 us around 9 in the morning from ct and said they couldnt go anywhere with out there sleds overheating after a few miles so that kind of discouraged us but we said what the hell if we have to change our hyfax what the hell big whoop. So we headed over to tiffs trading post to get 1 of our knucklehead friends registered which was some shit ass trails over a bunch of waterholes which was allright and quite understandable since they had so much rain. But once we got on the main trails it was fine we were all going at a good clip and plenty of snow and ice to keep the sleds cool and very fast trails and smooth as hell because everybody thought it was shit but man it turned out awesome. I would say it took us at the most a couple of hours from belmont haulin ass. Yeah u get some open watterbars that u have 2 watch out for but i have ridden ten times worse in woodford. Some of the other sledders we talked to said the same thing dont believe everthing u here even if they are locals. Sorry no pics as i have no proof of the sledding but go up for youself u might enjoy it unless u r scared to cross a few waterbars. Its better than riding on gravel! As 4 the 2 guys im assuming they were driving 4 strokes or just driving 2 damn slow to get any snow up on there heat exchangers. Who knows! But there were 6 of us and nobody had any problems we even met up with skizzer from the ct and vermont forum and he had no problems

Just be careful and ride with common sence and u should be fine. If u think you,re sled is overheating then just head to the side of the trail to get some snow up on you,re heat exchangers. Thats what we kept doing just as a precausion. It definitely wont be like last week but still decent riding.
