Kingdmrdr and I hit the trails around 2:30 out of IP central and headed north on 114 (no tracks across the lake at that time). Hit the power line and headed south to 96, 106 down to Maidstone. Went around the lake to find 102F closed. Headed north to Trail 1 to find it closed (north side of 1). Headed south 102 to the south side of 1 and headed over to E. Burke thur the little feeders onto 5 and into the Pub Outback for dinner. North on 5 to 114 to the lookout up the train bypass back into town. Every trail had been groomed, some more than once. There was a fresh 2~3" to play in today as well. Everything was fantastic except the feeder from 1 to 5 which were ok except the open water bars and some yahoo who beat up the trail. There were also a bunch of water bars on 5, one so big we filled it in with snow (good call on the shovel King) to get across. By the time we got back into town someone had run across the lake but I'm going to wait until I see a truck parked out there before I cross it. Saw four moose but couldn't get the camera out fast enough. Sooo good to be out there again! FWIW, almost every sled we saw on the trail today was a new REV XP!
Closed gate at the trail 1 intersection:
Feeder between 1 and 5:

I must have missed that closed gate,..does this mean the whole route 1 loop is closed, or just one small area???

I don't understand why that gate [to Madison Mt] is even closed during the summer. I'm surprised it's not open now.

That is the gate for the north side of 1 on 102. I'd guess it's closed from there to yellow bucket.

That open gate looks like the one on the 98 trail by Browns Mill in Maidstone. The Madison Brook gate at EX401 on the 1 trail was closed this morning. The ATR should contact VT ANR to open the gate. The ATR had groomed 102 & 102F4 from Lunenburg near EX72 back to EX343. The 1 trail was untouched as of this morning.
