This ones being typed up fron Ct as my POS Tobisha laptop broke again for the 5th time, anyways,..since the last report, ALL trails have been opened up from what we saw. We rode a perfectly groomed powerline up to the balls, and headed west on weds, and went through Burke, on to Ramsey 4 corners, then down 51. This trail was not groomed at that time, but the groomer passed us later in the day. we climbed up to Stannard mountain lookout, and I gotta say that theres at least 5 feet of snow up there. The groomer JUST groomed this area, and as we attempted to get down on the south side, we came across the drag laying in the trail with no groomer in sight. Ny guess is that he was stuck and discoinected the drag to go get help. WE were the first to get to the top of that mountain since tha big storm, and it was quite an impressive amount of snow...

Then on Thursday, we headed up the powerline on our Way to Cannan,...most all of the way up was only one track, and it was snowing all day long, we added another 6-8 inches ontop of the 10-12 from the day before.
Click to view attachment I dont believe that I have ever seen nicer trails in my life, there was a total of 8 other sleds we saw in the entire 165 mile trip. Smooth, powdery, I usually like to end the season on a ride like that, not to start one, as its going to be impossible to beat. 96 North was in great shape as well, and even the new squirley trail into Cannan was in great shape. We headed back Via the powerline again as it was getting late, and we were a bit tired. Absolutely no problems with the sled for the first 500 miles of the season,, and even helped pull out local clubs groomer out of a ditch that they got themselves into, the track was off on one side, and half off on the rear side as well,..looks like I might be doing some grooming for the polar bears this winter. I hope the rain doesnt ruin a good thing, actually, I think some moisture in the snow will help out to set up a good base. Once again, my hat goes off to the groomers up there who worked with a tremendous amount of powder snow, and made the trails the best Ive seen in over 10 years. (NOTE: The pipeline still has some water bars in areas, and the swamp on the east side is not frozen enough yet for groomers to get through)........ Cant wait till I get back around the 27-28th......
