Just found this site and it seems pretty cool. Am impressed with the info being shared! Anyways i would like my sled to pull like a freight train. I would really like to get a DD 900 kit but cant afford it. So I figured I could mess with gearing and clutching to get the most out of the power I have even though my sled mechanic is against it, he said clutching is good but gearing is a waste of money cause of the cost of act drive gears. I mostly ride in Michigan and ride hard! I don't care about big top end, if it topped out at 95 I'd be happy. I want it to to get from 0 to 95 in a blink of an eye and lift the skis like nothin. Probably need more power but will settle for half assn it for now. Wanted to know if anyone has had similar goals and or experimented around and came across a good set up?

You are already geared for over 95 for sure. Your mechanic is rite-on...with the 60/60 stock gears you will pull hard. You can save a lot of money if you change your secondary spring and make sure everything is aligned. The Goodwin Blue/yellow secondary spring has been talked about a lot and would be a cheap start.

DonoBBD has given alot of clutching tips....read some of his posts. I aligned my clutch per his recommendations and my sled turned into a rocket. I am still stock but aligning the clutch properly made a huge difference. Before I did this I was missing almost a half inch on the top of the primary. I'm getting a full shift now....Thanks Don!
