went for ride down on the river today. (yes its safe) unloaded at the boat launch under the kelly street bridge. when i we got there, a guy was stuck on the boat ramp with his truck. some guy trying to be nice desides to run home and grab his bucket loader to help pull him out. well any of you familiar with the ramp knows it has a steep drive way. so this guy shows up with this bucket loader and tries to pull out this little nissan pickup. in doing so, gets this guy unstuck but slides down the ice covered boat ramp and goes into the water. the loader had no chains so it just spun the tires. this poor guy couldn't do anything to get that loader out. everytime he moved it a little it would go deeper into the water. so now there is a huge bucket loader sitting in the river about 5-7 feet off shore and will most likely be there all night and part of the day tomorrow. if you in the area drive by and take a look its kinda fuuny seeing it down in the water like that.

just wanted to add that my idea of safe may not be the same as others so ride at your own risk. there has been a lot of sleds and quads on the part of the river in the west side of manchester since saturday with no signs of open water or slush, minus the area the bucket loader created.
