Anyone have a good place to unload in Hancock, or Granville area? I've rode from Chittenden up there many times, but never unloaded there. I want to ride from there up to Camels Hump State Park.....

You should unload at Dee's Dog House. He doesn't mind you unloading there if you stop in for a beer and a dog after your ride. I ride out of there or stop by on my ride a few times a year.

Is that in Rochester? I don't remember seeing it in the past. It also looks like there might be a trail dead spot in between Mad River Valley and the Rochester/Hancock area...Maybe I'd be smart to just drive up to Kenyons in Waitsfield.

I believe its in Granville. There are trails in Granville and the riding from there is pretty good. My house is 4 miles from Kenyon's but sometimes I will drive down to Dee's to unload there.. Look for it on Rt 100. If you are driving up from Rochester on 100N keep your eye on the right. After about 5-10 minutes You will see a Bar type place with a parking lot. There should be some tracks heading north through the fields that will take you right to the trails.

Oh yeah, I think I know that place now that you describe where it is.

I don't have a map, but I still think there is a blank spot in trails between there and Camels Hump state park. I think you have to way around - so I'll probably just drive to Kenyons.

Thanks for the help.

Well, I decided to head to Waitsfield instead. Riding north from Granville or Rochester, you almost have to ride towards Braintree - and the times I've riden there, they always have less snow, and more traffic, along with lower elevation. Thanks for the advice everyone, I'm headed for Mad River Ridge Runners territory in the morning...

I had first tracks today out of Kenyon's. Where did you end up dropping in? Had a great ride.. Be careful of the waterbars... but most areas are awesome. Get it while its still there...Saturday and maybe Sunday morning still look good!

Because of a couple typical first-ride issues, we got a very late start. We did leave here until about 8:30 - so we wouldn't have been there until almost 10:30.....

So we rode Chittenden up to Braintree, over to Granville, and back down again. It was amazing, but yes, there were a couple waterbars there too.
