I have had my GT800 into the shop several times over the last few weeks. The Engine Management System light has been blinking during warm-up. The first time they ended up finding excess sealant in my cylinder head that had jarred loose from the crank case (very close to blowing an engine). Then I had a loose battery connection. Not sure what the problem is now. I called Bombardier and they have no clue. Last winter my sled worked perfectly, 22-25 mpg. This year it's been guzzling gas (only about 15-18mpg) and the plugs are black. This winter I can't get a good ride without any problems. I'm getting fed up with taking my sled back and forth to the dealer. Anyone else having similar problems?

I am having alot of problems with mine also...Heres a small history.

Received machine and within a week the engine management light was flashing and beeping. After four trips to the dealer, it was found to be a wire from the Temp sensor. After this was fixes, I had 1000 Klm of VERY happy ridding. It appeared this was the machine I had hoped it would be. By the end of last season, I had 4000 Klms on it and it started to backfire on long high speed trips. Since it was the end of the season, I figured I would bring it in this year. When it came time to bring it in, The battery was dead. According to the dealer, it was a defective battery. I didn't believe this since I could charge the battery and it would work. But you don't want to argue with the tech, they will only blackball you. So I put my newly "fixed" sled on a trailer and drove it 900 KLM, Once I got there, the battery lasted 100 Klm and I barely made it back to the trailer. At least I got 1800 Klms on the car. Brought it in, and they found that the regulator was shot. While I only got 100 klicks on it, I noticed that the poor performance I was experiencing at the end of last season was now worse. I had gone through 2 sets of plugs and yet the dealer cannot find anything wrong. It has been in the shop for virtually the whole winter. I am going to pick it up this week to bring on that same 900 Klm drive to the snow.....But I sure don't have a harm and fuzzy feeling. He said if I have problem with it to call him. I figure if he couldn't fix it in person....I dougt if he can do anything over long distance lines. :banghead:
Maybe they will find the problem.....next year r_c.gif

Got my sled back two weeks ago, haven't had a problem since. They replaced the coolant sensor. They did some fuel re-mapping a while back, I'm getting shitty mileage since (not bad compared to other sleds, but not what I was getting before. Refueled today, I was showing empty - it took 27 litres after 150kms. Still had 11 litres in the tank. Other than that, sled works fine. I hit 168km/h on the groomed trail today, still lots of throttle yet. Trying to sell my machine now, trying to get a Renegade.

I wish I could get the mileage with my 600 HO that you are getting. Anyways, it sounds like they have sorted out your machine, good for you. Just in time to put it away!

"just in time to put it away"????? Don't think so. I was snowmobiling on about 6 ft of powder Wed and Thurs in some area. Getting about 6 inches tonight. Best snowmobiling here is March and April, sometimes into May. Lots of time yet.
