Any body run any of these lakes yet? I generally run north outta Cloquet up the old rail road grade to saganaw then north to both Fish and Island lakes then north up the north shore trail. Dont know if its possable yet because of bad ice stories I have been hearing.

Here's a site and thread for ice fishing, might be able to check on current conditions as many of these guys get on the ice more than most...

Thanks D-rail for the info. I went for the first ride yesterday out of Cloquet. Took the old rail grade north from spafford park and the trail was ok with the ocasional loose rock slap on the skis. No bare spots and figured the base to be about 4 inches. I played around on Big Grand for awhile and hit a little slush out in the middle by the fish houses other wise not bad over all. Fisherman told me that there was close to a foot of ice. Little grand was quite slushey though. We need more snow. Hopfully this weekend.
