Xp of my buds runs out at about 106 maybe? My 06 Apex comes out of the hole slower, but reals him in at about 80 and just goes by. hardpack snow. Both of us have 96 studs. he does get good mileage. I use about 1/2 gallon less than him in 120 miles, but in the twisties, it's a rocket on rails!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My opinion is for a twisites sled it can't be beat, but it's not a lake runner and wasn't built to be. m2c.gif

Two of us went riding in newport yesterday, the rail beds were about the same as the week before, despite having more snow than the week before, more sleds means worse conditions, and there were 2-3 footers in places now, that were not there last weekend. He brought his 06 apex gt that we have gpsed at 116 before, but we took out the clutch kit,and changed out the track,to a 1" preditor,so he was spinning a little more than my xp,but i have a bare track too, just 1/4 inch higher, and like him all stock now, well we tried to line up,but mine would transfer and pull the skis 3 feet and turn toward him so i backed out of it,he stayed on the gas and i caught him and passed him like he was stopped, than we ran them at 30 plus, hit it at the same time same fate, mine just walked the apex hard by as much as 8-9 lengths, and he is almost 100 lbs lighter than i am,even though his sled is 100lbs heavier. So we swapped sleds i let him ride it for about 40 miles,we have both had the same sleds over the years,i feel that his apex will reel in my xp once it hits 100 and flattens out like it does,so if you guys want to race anyone do it in 1/4 or just a little more, still only seeing 108 on my speedo,it shifts out quickly, but does not hold the full shift long enough to reach top speed, the secondary spring imo is to stiff, and the helix being a roller back shifts at will, not good for top speed.

I have an 06 Apex ER for Myself and a 08 FX Nytro for My Wife. I never thought My Apex felt big or heavy but today I had a chance to go from the Apex to the Nytro and back several times. The Apex feels like a tank compared to the Nytro. I think the Nytro does most everything better than the Apex. I also had My 05 Rev out and the Nytro felt more comfortable and handled better. I'm looking forward to trying My buds XP and get a better idea how the new iron compares. I would think that the XP also feels much lighter and handles better than the Apex. I can't believe how much better the sleds get every year and unfortunately for Me My Apex feels old compared to the Nytro and I'll probably be buying a 09 Nytro next Spring.

my xp6 will do 102 on hardpack
