I just sold my 2006 and 2005 polaris fusions for $6200 and tired of polaris so im going to a different brand... what would be a better sled the 2007 phazer or a firecat 700 efi snowpro... My son has a 2005 f7 and no one around has a yamaha so i was just wondering which one do you think would better better

got an o7 phazer fx forsale

Well I rode a crossfire 700 last year and liked it alot but this year I switched to a yamaha nytro and wow I would have a hard time going back!! I would go with the phazer If I was you it will run on 87 octane and no expensive oil to buy! Or better yet go with the nytro you wont be disapointed!!!
skippy!
you can't compare those sleds... a phazer is a piece of shat compared to an f7 sno pro.... a phazer won't even run with a trail convereted 440 sno pro... an F7 is a very fast nimble sled.... they are tippy though... if you like to RIDE a snowmobile and put a lot of effort into riding... get the f7 ....also if you like to haul ass...get the f7..... if you like to just sit on the seat and cruise...and get good milage....get the yammie...but i wouldnt recommend the phazer...they are a joke for power and speed...

I had an F7 sno pro and I thought it was a joke. What a piece of crap. Go with a Phazer and save your money and get a turbo. You can get a new Phazer leftover from 2007 for around $5000 and then spend $4500 on a turbo and youve got the price of a new Nytro or F7 sno pro.

people that say phazers are underpowered are stupid, I've raced my 800 Doo MXZ against the phazer, yeah I smoke it, But its still fast, It pulls like a mofo up to about 60-70 and keeps climbing to atleast 80-85, Is it king? no? but its it slow? hell no, and it gets there fast.

IMO yamaha is more reliable, and the phazer requires less maintenance, But to correct what someone said about 87 octane..the manual says run premium in the phazer, but you still save on oil and get better mileage.

We just put a phazer threw some tough..tough...stuff..and she's still rocking, I cant compare ride or speed on the 2 sleds your looking at, but the phazer isnt slow, and its way more reliable/less hassle.

great sled imo, pretty much convinced me im going to go buy a nytro.

I also think F-7 are krap but I don't go into the cat forum and talk sh1t about them, so go ride your couch with an orange v6 in it!

Well said, thank you. Dont come into this forum and bash the Phazer. Just keep your crappy comments to yourself. I actually loved my F7, I just said that crap cause he pissed me off.

the phazer is by no means a bad snowmobile...but you have to admit that you can't really compare an f7 to a phazer.... they are completely different animals.... maybe you could compare a nytro to an f7 but i've never ridden one of those or raced one.... i have ridden a phazer fx and raced one.... i think you'd be better comparing a phazer to an f5 or something but even then..... i know speed isnt everything but honestly an f7 to a phazer....no comparisons.... and i'm not in here trying to talk shit..... i'm trying to learn about these phazers becuase my friend thinks its a piece of shit becuase he bent the tunnel hitting a 90 foot double on his motocross track...and becuase he cant keep up if we get on a long trail.... and when we cross water it just throws shit out of the hole in the tunnel...and the steering feels lose...and it starts liek a bitch if its cold... so i'm trying to figure out what we can do to make the thing at least enjoyable to ride....

Dude you are totally fucked up..I ride with two guys with f7's...on twisty trails my Phazer FX eats their 130 horse pussy cats..the F7 is just a straight line bullet, i can't stand riding them after my Phazer.

I just traded my snowpro in for a phazer. I love it. Phazer handles so much better then the heavy artic cat.

i have a phazer gt and i rode with a guy on a rx1 and coming thru the woods, i left him so i stop for a break in a field and he says he was watching the trail and he looked up and i was gone.then he proceeds to say this was the field he was gonna catch up to me in&& blow by me. so we take off again and going through the woods i guickly left him agin but this time when i hit the next field i just held her to the bar and gave her hell, then i got to the woods again and he's halfway through the field through the nexr couple miles i had a whole field on him there was no way he was catching me then boy was he pissed.he thought he could do it but i just beat him through the woods ,over time i gained distance.it's an awesome little sled.even my daughter likes it:) & i don't have to worry about her kiiling herself like i did with my 800.so far so good!

I would say they are not comparible, 2 stroke vs. 4 stroke and major power and wieght differences, I've ridden a phazer and yes they are a fun little machine....I currently have an f-5 and was and still am considering getting a phazer for another sled to ride, they are very light and nimble (my f-5 is also, but not having to add oil sounds good to me on those long rides). I love my firecat and probably won't get rid of it till it's dead, but as far as another light corner to corner lightwieght jumping machine the phazer is deffinatly one of the top of it's class and I have nothing but respect for it, and this is coming from a guy who has ridden cat from day 1. Even if your used to the big machines you are sure to have a great time on a phazer unless your just a lake runner.....Happy Trails!
