Left Fabyans at 7am, went over Cherry Mtn to the railroad bed to Gorham. Then we blazed the trail on Trail 19 North all the way to Berlin. We cut through a foot of powder for half the day!. Took trail 11 to cut back over the Jefferson and ran into and tree down in the trail. Again, no one grooming and the signage in this part of the state is not that great. Luckily I've been in this area many times before and knew where we were going. Had to turn around and head back down 19 South to Gorham. Ran the railbed to Berlin. Very very flat and fast. Gased up and headed to Gorham to eat lunch. Back to Twin and packed up by 2pm with 100 miles clocked.
Twin finally got their groomer out next to Fabyans but I'm not sure where it went. The gate by New Zealand parking lot is locked and the Cog Road is not groomed either. Berlin and Gorham definately not grooming yet but it was fun to cut the first tracks!!!
Not many trucks in the parking lot, maybe 15 at best. Very cold this morning, -6 degrees but who cares, the sled ran awesome!

Iggy,

The pics look good. The riding was great today and not having much traffic made all the difference.

What about those cars riding on the trails today? That was a bit of a scare.

This is the season we've been waiting for for the last three years.

Pack them up and ride why the gettin's good. Another big storm on the way tonight.

We had a group of 5 yesterday and rode from the Zealand Campground to Lincoln. It was an 80+ mile day for us in addition to the 65 I did on Friday. No sense posting the trail conditions since its snowing like hell now. Off to a great start! rockernana.gif
