I use a 6 foot L shaped piece of wood. Put it along side the track and have it running beside the ski's. I measure the wear bar stud at the very front and very back with the piece of wood and adjust you're tie rod to move the ski in or out

Any tips for loosening the tie rod bolt?

When i try and loosen mine, it just rolls on the ball and feels like it will pop off it i really crank on it?
Is that how its supposed to be? Or am i doing something wrong?

If you look on the tie rod there should bo a notched out spot so you cant put a wrench on it

some use 2x4's or 6's but i found good straightness with a set of old 8' florescent light bulbs. works good on bikes too.
