luxhello.gif Hi everyone, I installed a new track with 96 of the carbide wedge studs in the center belt. I am not happy with the way sled works with these studs and am learning I don't like Tnut style studs. They are a pain to put in, have to locktight the heck out of them so it makes them also a pan to replace them, anyway, the sled seems so wishy washy in the back end, like driving a car with back tires almost flat. My question is what do you guys think is a good trail stud that works and lasts a decent amount of time? I am thinking about carbide tipped spikes but I don't know if there is any big differences from one maker to another. PS, I got about 600 mile on the old wildcat so far this year and has not stranded me yet, had some things to fix because it was in tough shape when I got it and don't have alot of money to stick into it at one time but over the last couple years I am getting it back into decent shape, I just got my oil pump/plug fouling figured out and had chaincase all apart and gone through also found a problem with the key switch with the terminals being loose where attached, got it all fixed and some clutch tuning and it runs really strong now I think, I will hopefully see next saturday at radar runs if it is as much better as it feels on the trail. EFI is nice when it works but all that extra stuff sure makes it a pain to work on the thing. Sorry for getting off topic. Tom W

Woody's ...... Woody's...... Woody's.............Mine have over 7000 miles on em with only two slightly bent and zero failures. Their studs and oversized aluminum backers are a hard combo to beat for both traction and long life.

Rick.
