I might be sick of the 8 foot pile of snow next to my driveway, but the trails are great here.

I've been riding for two weeks now and the trails around Elliot Lake are groomed to perfection. There's about 3 to 4 feet of snow on the ground and the groomers are running steady.

I'm not sure why more sledders aren't here, but you're missing out!

Elliot Lake is a great area to ride, been there several times myself. Good accomodations and very little traffic.

Trails are mostly closed up there according to the OFSC. Only Elliot Lake is listed as Limited, and they say they've had issues with their groomer breaking down.

You're right. They seem to be having a little trouble with one of the machines. No worries, the other two are still running fine...

The reason for the "Limited" designation is beacuse the areas around Elliot Lake just don't have the snow yet and can't groom quite as much. Trust me, that's not a problem here.

Trails are groomed and great.

My brother in-law grooms for the club, dave, guy with the beard if you ever see him in the groomer. He always e-mails me and braggs about how soon they have started. They do have great trails my wife and I love ripping up the north trail to Audrey fall and back around to e.l. Niece and husband have Howson Marine in Blind river, too bad they sell artic cat I'm a doo guy. Don't understand the guy from Sudbury, their trails are lousy in the best of years, maybe he should help out more.

Elliot Lake, Is that near Port Perry? No wonder no one is there. Don't you guys know that all the good shit happens down here. Come on , really who travels up north to sled anymore! Glad to see you folks have snow again. Seems to me that has been a real thin area last few years.

these are from a couple years ago. Went up there a few years in a row for March break with my son. I used to know the people who owned Dunlop Lake Lodge. Trails were always flat groomed, little traffic, very scenic and the temps were like +2 everyday......awesome.

We're working on setting up a designated staging area. For now, I would park at the ski hill. Park back from the hill so that you're not taking up parking for skiers. You could also park at the Civic Centre next to Tim Horton's. Just pull up around back and let someone know you're there. The other spot would be the large boat launch area on Dunlop Lake. There's plenty of room there and it's only about 12 km north of town. On weekends, it's full of fishermen's vehicles but still has some room.

Just some ideas.

Why can't you park at the clud house at the bottom of TV hill?
