are those shock covers just for when you store the sled, or can you
ride with those on??

Can someone tell me what shock cover are used for. Looks/heat???????? Why don't they put them on from factory? thanks

they are suppose to protect against fine dirt and particles
getting in and ruining shocks. They are also for looks
and you can ride with them on. I bought a black with red
flames set for my zr 900, excited to put them on and see how they look.
Is it necessary; no probably not. I haven't seen these things but for
maybe just the last couple of years, and liked how they look on the machines so I
I bought a pair mainly for looks.

thanks for the feed back. Learn something new everyday. Thats a good looking sled even without shock covers.
