I went with a Hauck GHT-R Done kit and had a chance to put on around 50 miles since install last weekend. Very impressed with every aspect, a good system IMO. beer_cheers.gif

Here is the site: http://www.hauckpowersportsinc.com/pages/c...ce-options.aspx

As another option to the Hauck kit, FIX Powersports offers a similar upgrade but w/o the fuel accelerator and exhaust upgrade. Their kits includes a ram-air intake kit with prefilters, primary and secondary springs, helix and weights. The cost is about $449 USD. Pretty reasonable and reputable as FIX is a Yamaha recognized R&D center. No disrespect do the Hauck boys, as they know what the doing as well! Just another slightly cheaper option...though I would say I really like the look of the exhaust system the Hauck boys have come up with. This may be off topic, but do any of you guys know anything about the Schmidt Bro.'s aftermarket single or dual exhaust systems for the Phazer?

As an alternative check out the FIX Powersports clutch and air intake upgrade kit. The kit runs for about $449 US which includes a ram-air intake cover w/ prefilters, primary and secondary springs, helix and weights. I have ordered this kit and will post some results after install. Just another alternative to the Hauck kit, though I do have to say I really like the look of the Hauck dual exhaust system. Very nice!

Ulmer clutch kit $115. Schmidt Bros. air intake modules $24.95 I have them both and they seem to work good. $450 is alot of money for a clutch kit and air intake filters, hope it works real good.

Hey Weapon.....how do you like your '08. Did you buy the base model, gt or rtx? Myself I made the mistake of buying the '07 GT. I say it as a mistake since I will be upgrading shocks here soon. Not sure if I will go with Floats or the Ryde FX Air 2.0's. That is if they make 2.0's for the Phazer. Does anyone out there have any comments or concerns witht the Floats or 2.0's...looking for feedback on preferences???

I have a GT and Im thinkin about going with Air 2.0 next year. I saw someone online advertising the Phazer application, but I cant remember who it was. They sound like quite a deal considering what a pair of Fox Floats cost. You can rebuild the front shocks on the GT so you could make them stiffer until next year.

They dont have a website yet, but they have an Ebay store with all their products listed. Just do a search in Ebay stores and you should find them. Ive talked to Chris personally and he is real honest about his products and very helpful. Good quality products, highly recommended. He has a new dual exhaust system that looks and sounds real good. You can find it on YouTube.com

Hello,
Why pay shit bros. price? All they are doing is buying uni intake buttons from dennis and kirk and selling them for a 150% mark up. Dennis Kirk Part #: 301545, Manufacturer Part #: UFV-6, price 11.99 ( less if you find a dealer that doesnt sell for full retail.) Most dealers stock these buttons. Good luck.

I'm a new member and surprised to see name bashing (shit bros) on this forum. What's the matter ice princess are you mad because you didn't come up with the idea about the air pods? Why would you be bashing the small pioneering American business man? I have bought one of everything SBM offers and i'm happy they did the R & D to make my phazer FX the best it can be. The average person (like me) doesn't have the knowledge and time to do the research, so it was much easier to click some buttons and have it show up at my door complete with instructions and I am thankful for that. Keep up the good work SBM, I am a satisfied customer.

Exactly phazerchick, I don't have a problem with schmidt bros. stuff, but it sounds like somebody paid 10 bucks to much for somethin and wants to whine about it. I'm a satisfied customer ,good job shmidt bros.

Well thats great that you have all the money in the world. Just trying to offer an option and truth about Schmitt bros. intake pods. And if they are so stand up about thier product then why are they telling you that these pods are thier's and not Uni's? Yeah, sounds like they are real trust worthy. You should keep them in buisness and buy more stuff at double the price.

What the hell is that suposed to mean?

Regardless, my point was simply that you can get the same thing for less...and was actually, trying to put it out there for those who can't afford to pay the higher prices for what they need or want...and in my opinion paying the higher prices is unnecessary.

I was not "bashing" anyone or any brand....just stating a fact. If you want to spend the extra for a certain name go right ahead, i don't care, its a free country...I choose not to...that is what makes sense to me!

Arn't the forums supposed to be about sharing information...and I would assume to also try to save each other a buck where we can...and basically just help each other out? At least that is what I get on here for...not to shoot down, ridicule, and "bash" those with ideas that may just have merit!

And Phazerchick maybe you should be on the forum for more than a DAY before you start "Bashing" those of us who are on here all the time...AND if you can't take the time to do the research (and Schmitt Bros didnt' do the R&D, so get your facts straight) to educate yourself that you can get the SAME products for less than you are a fool in my opinion for blindly spending your money!

But that is my opinion... blow your money...piss it away...give it away...I don't care...i was making an offer of knowledge based on my own research of the product and knowledge from working in the snowmobile industry from a retail, maintenance, and club point of view...so take it for what it is!

And, I don't have anything against the small business man, or the fact that someone came up with "air pods" (what that has to do with anything I don't know, but anyway!) Enough said!

Normally I don't bite on posts such as this which are somewhat hostile, but this one I can't resist. Ice Princess, I do agree with your assessment of the Schmidt Bro.'s product. Regarding the Schmidt Bros pods, whether they developed the technology or not, if they did not patent them, then they are simply fair game for copying and marketing. I will say that I paid $450 for an FPS clutch kit which included (primary and secondary springs, helix, new weights, and a cold air intake lid). It seems to be more than all you have paid, but I will say this, I have in the past tried to cheap out on clutch kits only to be dissappointed with its performance. I find true value in purchasing a product in which the kit does EXACTLY what FPS said it was going to do with no bogging what so ever regardless of ambient air temperature. Props to them for providing such a stand up kit. It gives about 4 sled lengths out of the hole and about 10km/r more on the top end over stock. Not only that, FIX Powersports is a Yamaha recognized R&D facility so I guess there must be some expertise behind the shop doors @ FIX.

Sorry I didn't mean to cut into anybody but it irks me when a person gets into a sport/activity thats involves a good amount of money to be part of, and will complain about the nickels and dimes of hi perf aftermarket parts that they may not need!
