My sincerest condolences, Stan. There's never a good time to lose a family member, but especially not near Christmas. I lost my Grandmother just before Christmas when I was younger. Keep your family close and you'll all pull through.

Truly sorry to hear this Stan, I know how hard the feeling of losing someone so close to the holidays is. I just got back from Kingston from my wifes Grandmothers funeral today ... great lady I will miss here a lot. Dec 02/03 I lost my Mother to cancer, Nov 15/04 lost my Father in a car accident, Dec 18/06 we lost my wifes stepmother. Loss's just as these just before the holidays are definatly the hardest to cope with. Do your best to stay strong for your family ... but please don't forget about yourself. After losing my Dad less that year after my Mom passing I tried my hard to be my family's rock, acctually to hard and ended up with a serious bout of depression, unbenounced to me, due to being too busy trying to take care of everone else and not taking care of myself emotionaly. So Stan please just step back every once in a while during this hard time and take care of yourself.

My condolences to you and your family Stan. Your dealing with something we all will or already have. My dad is 76 and even though he is retired I bring him to work with me everyday and somedays it fustrating but I just keep thinking he won't be here one day and I'll miss those days with him, and how hard it'll be when he's gone. He keeps telling me that my kids will be the crutch that will get me through when he's gone, just like we were when he lost his parents. Hang in there brother, you are in our thoughts.

My condolences to your family and you. I lost my dad in my last year of university almost ten years ago. The lesson I learned from the whole experience was to live my life to the fullest and know that my my dad is watching over me every step of the way. Things will get better over time. Take care of yourself.

I want to thank everyone for the well wishes my family has recieved. The snowmobiling fraternity is the best and although I personally have had some indifferences with some on this board those very seem people were there to offer there condolences. We laid my father to rest today and I know that he is in a better place. He was not well the past few years but we had hoped that he could have made it through one more Christmas and New Years. It is a very tough time of year to lose a loved one but I can say posts like this and the well wishes from many friends are what has helped me get through a diffcult week. Thank you all.
