Is there anyone out there feeling the itch as bad as I am to get out and ride???? I'm going nuts and the bad part is I'm leaving for Florida in 9 days!!!!! I know!!! Tell me about it. Ha!! When we come home, I hope we have a foot or two of snow, if we don't, I going until I find it. So, Indiana HCS members, how are you dealing with it?

I agree.. ya gotta head north I guess.... I heard north of Big rapids is good.. Some people I know were up in marcelona and had one heck of a time...

Hey all! I'm kinda new here. Especially with viewing the Indiana HCS forum and posting on it. I've been a member of HCS since last January but just check here once in a while. Anyway, I've had the snow itch bad since October so I took off and went up to Calumet, MI last week. Snow conditions were awesome in any direction you went. My buddy (Chris) just bought his first snowmobile and took it up there to break it in and scratch his snow itch too. Great times!

My itch is getting bad again so hopefully us here in central Indiana will get the 4-6" they are talking about for Saturday. I'm hoping northern Indiana will get more so I can try out the trails and fields up there for my first time ever.

Safe riding everyone and if you ever need or want someone to ride with then don't hesitate to give me a call. My sled and I are always ready to play in snow and I'm just 2+- hours from the Indiana/Michigan line. Actually closer if I'm up at my little fishing get away on Webster Lake.

Glad you had a good time up in MI... I have a buddy whom is in the process of moving to Cadillac. He frequently travels to wherever the snow is.. But now I have a place to crash!! woohoo...

I will post if we get any snow here.. Honestly the forcase is saying just a little snow.. More snow to the south of us... We do get lake effect snow but no big event in the near future.. Not like they have been having up north....

well took my sled to glenwoods today. to get some prevantive maintence done and to get her checked over before the snow starts flyin.

The itch is getting really bad. I think that i have got it worse this year than in years past.

It ALWAYS snows everywhere BUT here.... Every once in a while we will get hit. Hopefully "Its a big one Clark" Nothing like opening it up on a big open field with 2' of snow.... Its almost better than ... Well maybe not, but its CLOSE....

Got the itch bad, i will be headed north in the next week or two hopefully.I have got in a big ten miles this year so far.

I have been riding. Already got 700 miles, a trip to Gaylord, a trip to the Western UP last week, and this Saturday I am leaving for Florida for a week. I hope you guys have a white christmas, I am really disappointed that I am going to miss it. It better be warm down south!

Hey Shempsledder, did you unload at Georgi Boy on Sunday, i think i saw you, i was with my brother with our sleds and our big white polaris trailer right next to you. if it was you and i think you had the red expedition, you forgot to close your hatch window, so i closed it for ya. Those FST's have a very large sounding blow off valve noise, i havent heard one before, i liked it. Just got back tonite from a ride around the Burg again, and the trails werent very good anymore.

That is a huge trailer! 8 place? The FST's have a sweet sound to them. They're sleepers. They idle like a Gold wing and give you a roar when you open them up. So far, I'm happy with them even though there has been some recalls that I had to have done.

How long does it take you to haul the sleds all the way to Yellowstone? And what do you need to get the sleds ready?

It takes about 30 hrs. driving time. 1800 miles (one way).

I didn't have to get anything ready on the sleds....ran them last year right out of the box.

With that said, depending on your sled, if you have a carburator, you may need to have it jetted (not sure about that someone may want to chime in). A clutch kit if you plan on doing some hard riding. It really depends on what you want to do? Off trail or just trail riding. The further you get off the trail, the more stuff you'll need to consider.

Youre crazy...$1200. You can find a newer 600cc for that. My buds got an SRV for $500

Crazy huh.. Guess it really matters what CONDITION the sled is in.. Don't make personal remarks unless you have seen it.. It sold to the first person who seen it.... It also came with a lot of extras...

If anyone is thinking about going this year it's going to be a good one. I called the lodge at W. Yellowstone, they report 9 to 10 feet off trail. King Cat riders are getting stuck!
