2003F5
hey everyone, just got back from Jackman, My buddy and I stayed at his camp in rockwood last night and did 175 miles today around the jackman area. We missed the trail (which wasn't marked) back to rockwood and ended up going to Pistton Farm to get gas and a map to make it back. We only planned on doing around 125 miles, but it ended up being a long trip. The trails were great for beginning of December, and there was about 18 inches of snow. For the first 20 miles from rockwood to jackman we were the first ones on the freshly groomed trails. It was awesome riding and my new sled went great, i love it. It was a little boney through some parts of the woods, and a couple washouts, but other than that the riding was great. We passed a groomer on the way back to camp. I wasn't expecting the riding to be this good, and it was a great early ride. Heres a couple pictures from today

Looks like a Dragstrip for sleds . Nice Pics.

yea that strip is over a mile and you have over two miles on that stretch of trail to really open a sled up WOT.

For early december there is some good snow out there...

Got around 75-80 miles in on Friday

And then another 175 miles on Saturday.

85 miles friday with vtech and Rip It Up. 175 with Vtech, Livnlife, Gritty, BalckCat, Tracks. Great ride out to Pitson Farm, NE Carry and Kokadjo. Things look great for this time of year. Hit some NASY ruts on the way back, but that's sleddin for ya. Met the Team Maine guys out at Pitson Farm ... great group! To the guy with the beautiful blue 1000, that thing sounds SICK dude!

Great weekend, thanks to all who rode, it was a great time!!!

PS. I love the 800!!

You're telling me... I was riding with a friggin' motorcycle helmet and no breathguard, I couldn't see a damn thing in that snow.... Still waiting on the backordered liners for my MX helmet.

Nice pics Dew!!

Thanks for the trail report and pics. Now all I can think about is riding. It is going to be a long week at work knowing that all that snow is waiting to be stomped on.

Good excuse to take a day off in the middle of the week, hopefully they groom, it was brutal riding Quebec then hitting Maine ungroomed - not complaining though

dewnut, i saw your group a couple times, that new summit xp that was in your group is nasty.

yz426- I like the renegade way better than my f7. It handles better, has the same power, and the suspension is way better. If I did the same ride with my old f7, I would have been sore the next day, but after the long ride on the rev, I felt fine the next day. I sold my f7 because I tried my buddys rev 800x last year and liked it a lot better and knew it was what I want.

.Devil you guys heading to the Millinocket area anytime soon? I hear that the ride through the park is good but you have to trailer to the lake. Another storm and it will be great. Let me know if you get up this way this winter

Yeah... That was MasterBlaster... it's a pretty sick sled.... it tears up the trails though, I was riding in his trench all day, it wasn't bad, but it wasnt too good either.
Tracks
I dont have to lead! I will go last.. I just poke along anyway.

riding doesnt look bad for december. how many inches of snow is in jackman and north to the border?

how do you get trail conditions for the first couple towns over the border into quebec because thats where i end up doing most of my riding once i make it threw town and into canada

I like those Black Summits guys! Looking foreward to riding with you guys agian this year. I got a neat little helmet cam so I can get some sweet videos this season.

I have only fooled around with it a little but this is what I get out of it. I think it is best to stop and film as people go by me.
