Hey- I'm new to this forum and also generally with sleds...this is mainly for my dad because I'm the 'computer expert.'

He used to own an 18hp ski-doo back in the day but neither of us have owned any modern sleds. We've driven a few polaris models so we know what they're like. He's thinking about buying a new sled but not really sure which way to go. We went looking at new leftover 07 models today and what they had left was a phazer gt for $6000, an attack for $8200 and an arctic cat z1 jaguar for $7100. Obviously the phazer is a different sled but it was interesting and cheaper. We felt that the prices on all of them looked promising compared to sticker so we've considered those. Four strokes are the only real consideration and thats mainly why we're considering Yamahas. Anyone chime in on experience or what you know of these sleds? Or any other good performing sleds we should consider? (other brands? maybe even though this is a yamaha forum)

He owns a farm and has plenty of land including woods/trails to ride on...lots of big open fields but hilly/semi-tight sections too.

Just some background-we've always had performance bikes and my dad used to race enduros. He has a DR-Z400 now and got rid of his YZ250 because it was kinda stiff/brutal for his back. It would be something that both of us would drive but it's really his and he would use it the majority of the time. We'd like it to be comfortable and have good performance-yet not that it has to be a rocket necessarily.

Thanks for any suggestions and I'd appreciate any thoughts! Great forum!
