My buddy put a 10 inch powermad riser on his with no problems. We have always used 9.25 inch mahler on all of the summit X's we have had.

I have an '06 Summit Adrenaline and just put on a 2" adapter with an 8" riser; both are from POWERMADD. I swapped the brake line with a steel braided one because it was the longest that I could get but I didn't have to change the throttle.
