Sleds out up this way. At least a foot in most areas, some areas have more.

Not everyone waits until the trails are open to ride. I saw a few people out riding down here in southern Wisconsin. Idiots!!! Do what you gotta do, but just know that all you are doing is ruining it for the rest of us and if you get caught you will get charged with trespassing and get a pretty hefty fine.

Ride the trails before they are officially open, then sit around next year, scratch your head and wonder why you no longer have a snowmobile trail to ride on.
My boy was bugging me yesterday to get the sleds out on the trails, but the answer isn't just no, it is HELL NO!!
I want to ride just as much as the next person, but a law is a law...start following them or watch this sport disappear.

The bearskin is open. it is open to snowmobile operation 365 days a year according to how the law is written.
But there might be some issues with the new local ordinances geared towards banning "Off-Season Operation" that could spoil your day in Minocqua & Hazelhurst.
they were enacted to keep sleds from skipping water in the summer, but I think they could be used farther then that.
Anyways, I think it would be better in all respects to just wait until the local clubs officially open the trails so we do not piss-off anyone more than usual or cause damage to yourself, your sled, and the property you are riding on.

I think the Bearskin is about 17 miles long. It leaves Minocqua and goes south to Hwy. K (between Tomahawk and Minocqua). The Bearskin is a very busy trail, and even though the club does its best I have found that it is usually rough or very low on snow. There are some cool bridges however

Amen to that. Some people forget the fact that use of the trails is a privledge, not a right.

I was on the trails for two miles at the most and those trails were on our land or my uncles land. The rest of my riding was in our fields. and through ditches.

Your still tresspassing as the trails are not open and the land the trail is on is techinicaly leased to the county/club.

It was several years ago and some people went down the trails and were saw by some snowmobile club member and we couldn't ride for another week.. JUST SHOWS YOU HOW MUCH POWER THE CLUBS HAVE !!!

The trails are leased during the snowmobile season, since it's not Dec 11 then I would guess it's still his family's property. and he can ride them.
