I made a quick pass on the trailheads this morning, and we got around 6-7 inches of snow. It's settling quite a bit as we got about 1/8" of freezing rain last night, and theres a slight drizzle right now. Very fine mist. They are calling for 3-4 inches of snow tonight and 2 tomorrow with colder temps. The manager of the resort was riding his sled along the shoreline yesterday between the DNR launch and the Limberlost. There was about 4-5 inches of ice out there. It looks very dangerous with the snow on it now, I think the weight created a lot of cracks so you can see water spots showing everywhere. We are one of the few clubs in Michigan to receive our grant money, I don't know or care what thats all about. All I know is we have the ok to groom, and we have some money and now a third groomer. I talked with our trail administrator Friday night, and I think we will be going out in as soon as the temps drop. I will have a few pictures posted tonight when the weather sorts out. I think there will be some decent riding here this week, before the weekend if we get the snow they are forecasting.
