ok here we have a 2001 tcat, a 2001 xc 800 and a 2005 mach z. long lake race across gogebic. who wins. guy on tcat out weighs other two. want some objective answers. most part stock. i watched the xc 800 take a mach z last year.

I am a T cat guy. So this is hard for me.
But I would say a stock T cat would be the last one in the above described race.
But with that being said. I do not think there are any stock T cats left.
Soooooooooooo A mod T cat with a little clutching and air box mod will KICK ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Long live the king!

Are you f'n kidding me?!?!?!?! Reality check ... T-Cat = 172 HP. The other guys? Nope.

I KNOW THE 2001 XC 800 WAS FASTEST MADE. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT WHEN I WATCHED IT TAKE A MACH Z. SO I GOT IN IT AND RACED THE MACH. MY SKIS WERE DANGLING OVER HIS TAILIGHT BUT I AM 350 LBS THIS DUDE WAS LIKE 140 DRIVING MACH. ANYHOW JUST HAD TCAT ENGINE REBUILT. NO PERFORMANCE MODS REALLY. NOTICED IT IS STILL BUILDING COMPRESSION. I DROVE THE XC ON GOGEBIC AND SMOKED EVERYONE LAST YEAR. SO NOW I AM FREAKIN OUT. WILL THIS GUY TAKE MY TCAT? XC IS STOCK??? I DONT LIKE TO LOOSE. WHAT CAN I DO TO TCAT RELATIVELY CHEAP?
70CHEVELLE
Either that Mach had some serious issues, or the XC had a HTG kit on it.

I'm with you 70 Chevelle. There is an xc 800 in the group we ride with or are you referring to an XCR 800??
Anyway, the one in our group can't get past the gas station and has repeatedly radared at a best of 107mph.
If it's an XCR then it will be a good race! How far is it across the lake?

IT IS AN 01 XC 800 PROBABLY A 5 MILE RACE

I have a 01 XC 800 2000 T cat and 05 Mach Z and my T cat is by far the fastest. Mach and XC are 100% stock and the mach blows the doors of the XC. Stock T cat's nobody really has one of those.

My 99 SRX 700 ate XC800's all day long ( mine had very minor clutching, trail set up ) I would have to say that it's modded to beat the Mach Z. I think it would be close between the Mach and the T cat.

ok, Lets make that t cat a 98 with just v-force and thats all.Is that considered stock for the year and all?I really question the benifit over a-market reeds.now who wins?

my 99 T-cat is stock, runs on 87 octane ,has 9980. miles on it, rides and handles great, 12+ miles to the gallon and has beat fast mach z's, fast 800 xc or xcr, and many other sleds, I have had it 133 m.p.h., so I would have to say the Tcat wins and it takes a driver tuner
madcow
on a long lake the t cat will have it. the mach has the power to compete for the short run, but the mach doesnt have the body or suspension for long high speed pulls. it takes them a long time to get close to 120 on a well setup clutched mach.

xc's with just clutching and jetting are slow I would race a 98 700 with clutching against any poo 800 in the edge chassis or later. 90% of the trail riders with an 800 xc are nothing to blink an eye at.
