For Four Season Resort with cottages, camping,&country store located in Northern Maine (Shin Pond). This is my parent's business and is well know by many in the state and many out of state as well. This has been a family owned business for over 20 years, but my parents have decided what they expect to be a long process of selling. Ditchpickle is your dad the Fire Chief???
DITCHPICKLEs
Yeah he is. Have you met him?
Iggy
That's a big place your parents run. All of those cabins and a restaurant to boot. Do you have a realtor representing you? I'd like to see more infomation on this venture.
DITCHPICKLEs
They have recently decided to start marketing the business and have spoken to a few realtors, but have not committed to anyone to this point. I think that they may just market it themselves for a while first. I will answer any questions that you have and if you would like to speak to one of them you can always just call. Ask for Terry (mom) and she would also be happy to answer any of your questions. (207) 528-2900 or shinpondvillage@pivot.net.

Thanks,
Blaine

Yes I have. And ask him about this if he remembers. We were sledding out of millinocket up to shin pond last season we got up there about 7 and everything was closed your parents had no more gas and the restaruant was closed. I had a bunch of firefighter friends from Mass. up. Your mom fixed us dinner and your dad called the gas staiton across the pond which was closed but they opened for us to fill up. We sat and talked with your dad for an hour or 2 and remember how nice they both were. Let them know we appreciated everything they did for us. Thanks Jason

Ditchpickle, your mom is a very nice lady. I'll be sorry to not see her at SPV.

I know that I will miss it there as much if not more than them! I enjoyed the "rescue missions" and such when I was still there as I know they do too!

Well I have mixed feelings on this . . . I'm happy to hear that they're doing well and wish them well in whatever they go on to do . . . but I'm sad to hear that they're leaving the business. I always enjoyed the food and friendliness . . . the trails were always groomed well there and the snow reports were always spot on (no stretching of the truth.)

charlie only owned the snowmobile rentals business(sleds only) and he ran it through my parent's business(Shin Pond Village). Charlie no longer has the rental business.

It will most likely be a long time before a buyer turns up. So expect the same food, friendliness, and well groomed trails as always!

One of them must have been myself. I handled all the repairs and service on them until i moved from there. Did you work for him @ StreetCycles or something? I remember someone coming up and helping that year, but dont remember who it was...
