Hi Kenny,
I beleive yes on that year. If theres no "barbs" on the air box, then definetly yes.

On my 97 XLT Ltd the vent lines run to the air box. As ON THE EDGE 02 says, there would be 90 degree angle 'barbs' on the air box. My 95 500 has vent lines that go up the handle bars.
