im looking into buying a 03 polaris pro-x 600 motor to install into my IQ440 is the wiring from the 600 the same as the 440? No you will need the complete engine and CDI wiring harness for the 600. The 440 chassis wiring harness will work just fine with the 600.

Also does the 440 choke and throttle cable fit on the 600 motor i dont wanna run oil injection. No you will want the throttle cable for the 600 motor and a Rack Style carbs. WPS sells a throttle cable that is only a throttle cable without the oil injection cable included. They are about $20. You will have to look through their on line catalog and find a WPS dealer to get a cable but they have them for sure, we bought one last week for the '08 we put the riser and big bars on. The choke cable is Polaris part # 7080946.

also would the 440 V-Force reeds work on a 03 600ves motor? Nope, the IQ 440 is a HO read manifold and the VES is not. Reeds will not enterchange.

any recalls on the 2003 pro-x 600 motor? info is very much appreciated thx XC440

I trust you have read all of This Thread about putting a 600 in your IQ. If not you should start now. Most every question is answered.

tom, what do you mean by engine and cdi wiring harness?

The motor, cdi, and the harness that plugs into the cdi. The harness off of the 440 won't work. The rest of the wiring in the 440 will be fine.
