I was thinking about getting a leftover fusion ( more bang less buck) but I was looking at dealer sites and saw a used dragon 4 $7000. Is the 900s vibration worse than my 01 800 and will the dragon run with an apex rtx. He cant touch me now on the trail but smokes me on the lakes. Thanks for any insight.

i would definitely go with the used dragon. you will be much happier in the long run over the 900 fuse.

800 dollars more for the Dragon run with it the best 800 extra you spent in your life.

Mine cleaned off the line hugely up to 1000ft after that he got me by a ski length.
And that was several different Apexs as well.

The only issue I had with the 07 dragon was plugs at first once I found out
that you start it don't hit the trottle and let it warm up properly,0 plugs after
that. The first 500 miles man I went through plugs once I used this procedure I never
fouled a plug in over 3500 miles.

The dealers here in MI are advertising brand new 900's for $4,999.... look up Planet Powersports, they had one on the floor at the Novi show and I'm pretty sure it didn't sell since I was one of the last ones out the door on sunday.

Keep in mind the 700 is going to be ready to ride and lighter/better handling. The 900 needs work right out of the crate but set up right will more than likely be faster. For $2,000 cheaper than the 700 it might be worth the drive?? dunno.gif

Just curious, Everyone saying "get the dragon" and bashing on the 900's, have you ever ridden a 2006 900 cleanfire? or is this just conjecture?

Tell ya what, the '06 900 had some issues but when it comes to power and torque, the 700 can't play in the same sand box.
I eat Apex's up on sodus bay on my 900, buddy tom got smoked by a Apex on same playing field with his '07 Dragon.
Don't get me wrong , I love the 700, just you made it clear you have a Yammi problem you need solved and the '06, 900 will solve it and the 700,(476Lb's and 137.5 HP.) wont. Get the 900,(stock,150.5 HP, 524Lbs) wich is already faster than a Apex (150 HP. 585 Lbs), and spend the extra $800 on a SLP. Air box and pipe kit and you'll be difinitively Quicker than a APEX. And bring your dry wieght down from 524-485. with 167HP. Plus, as you noticed here, people under estimate the FUSION all the time as it blows by them. That's the best part. After all the FREE updates, wich the dealer wont let you take it till they're done, The '06 Fusion 900 rocks. Oh, only japanese motor cycle riding wimps can't handle the vibe, My storm shook way harded. The '05's are another story,

I had 2 900's never had many problems ,they treated me good just saying if
there is a choice it would be the 700 Dragon,if you want to spend a little money
and have a sled that rocks do the 900.The 900's are touchy if you do lot's of
routine maintance the 900 is okay if you want to grease and ride get the 700
Dragon.
