Hi Guys,
We are looking at dSLR cameras, and have pretty much narrowed it down to one of these two cameras. But now we are stuck. So I was wondering what the general consensus was from you guys, and why. We do currently have a Canon Rebel G, and the EF 35-80 lens to go with it, so it would be compatible with the XTi. But thats really the only external factor on either for us.
So what do you guys think?
Thanks!
Scott

Can't answer the direct question but love the XTi, couldn't be easier to use and pictures are Great! Saving up for L lens to take action shots of the sleds this winter for clients. The lenses should be compatible - just call your local camera center to confirm

welp....we ended up going with the Nikon. Nothing against the Canon, or your opinion at all, but once we got in store and handled them both, it really wasn't much of a decision. Me and my wife were both much more comfortable handling it and getting into all of its settings. I do appreciate you replying, though!!

If you want to take nature/sports pics i would go with the canon. It seems like the availability of lenses with higher zooms are much more available in the canon models. Both are nice cameras though.
