I found a good deal on a 144x15x2.4" track. Will 2.4" lugs clear the tunnel on an 07 Switchback? If not can I just shave the lugs down .4"?

Thanks

Don't know if it will fit directly, frankly I doubt it. I know there wouldn't have been enough room in my 08 Dragon (136"). Looked to me that probably 2" would have capped it out.

But yes...any track lug can be cut down rather easily until it fits without hurting the track. It just takes a little patience and time to do it clean and evenly.

I know they fit on an 06 switchy, just have to make sure its a series 4 track since the series 5 were a different pitch.

I ended up getting a 144x2" track off of an 03 RMK for a pretty good deal. Looks almost new, one outside lug missing but the rest of the track looks great, very little wear for $200.

They cut very easy with a razor knife. If you want 2'' just clamp 2''strip of flat iron and cut.I find that a track that has been cut from let's say 2-----1 3/4 has more traction as the lug's do not bent.Nice flat surface on the lug and not a pointy end that bends easily.

Are you 100% sure that the 2.4" will fit an '06 Switchback (without any modification to the sled or track)??? I'm looking at a 2.4" for my '06 600 HO, and just want to make that it's going to fit before making the purchase. Thanks!!!
